Figma is the editor

You've created one. We'll make the other 999.

Your designer already knows the tool. There is no second canvas to learn and nothing to rebuild in someone else's editor, because the frame they drew is the template. Point us at it, add a spreadsheet, and every size of every row comes back out.

Why this and not a builder

The tool your designer already knows is the tool that makes the ads.

Every other way of doing this asks a designer to give up the software they are fluent in and re-draw their work inside a template editor that is worse at design than Figma is. We think that is the wrong trade, so we did not build an editor.

betaIntroducing Motion

Animate it in Figma. Every row comes back as video.

Figma's new motion tools now work in your Templates. Animate the frame your designer already drew, paste the motion in, and every row of your spreadsheet renders as an MP4 through the same Feeds and Batches as your stills.

  • Your timeline, not ours. Entrances, fades, rises and staggers play back as they were keyed in Figma.
  • Every row, every size. Set a Format to animate and its whole Batch comes out as MP4.
  • Honest about the beta. Motion is pasted in, so it does not update on Sync. Anything that will not animate is flagged before you render.

How exact is the match? The honest answer.

Everything that is artwork, meaning the photograph, the shapes and the effects, is Figma's own export, unchanged. Text is the part we re-set, using the same font files, so it reflows when your spreadsheet says something longer.

That is where the only difference lives. Figma rasterizes type with its own engine and a browser uses the operating system's, so identical text at an identical size lands a fraction differently. Expect a very slight difference in the type. Expect the layout, the colour and the artwork to match.

  • Matches: artwork, colour, layout, spacing, effects, crops and every exported layer.
  • Very slightly different: glyph rasterization, the anti-aliasing along the edges of letters.
  • Identical every run: the same row renders the same bytes today and in a year, because the fonts travel with the template.
